Sicomed
SC Sicomed SA, is one of the leaders on the Romanian pharmaceutical market, having a tradition of over 40 years and being Romania's leading generics company. The Company has been providing almost 27% of the Romanian medication necessary. Sicomed products are exported all over the world, through local distributors, to countries such as: Rusia, Austria, Hungary, Moldova Republic, Honk-Kong, Belarus, Azerbaijan or Chile.
As a result of an investment of around $34 million, by the end of 2004 the quality of Sicomed products and services reached international standards. Sicomed has also been the first Romanian pharmaceutical company Lloyd’s Register certified, according to the ISO 9001:2000 quality standard, which guarantees the functionality of a quality management system.
In 2005 Sicomed SA was acquired by Zentiva NV via Venoma Holdings Ltd.
