Global Finance completes final closing of its regional Private Equity Fund for South-Eastern Europe

Global Finance, the private equity firm active in South-Eastern Europe, has held the final closing of its eighth fund, the South Eastern Europe Fund (SEEF).

SEEF successfully reached its hard cap of €350 million. The funds were committed by a group of top-tier Greek and international institutional and private investors, including existing Global Finance investors as well as new ones. The continued strong investor interest confirms both Global Finance’s performance record and reputation and the attractiveness of the region.

SEEF will primarily consider control investments and regional expansion opportunities. Since its establishment in 2006, SEEF has completed three investments in the Region:

  • ICAP, the largest Business Information and Consulting firm in Greece
  • Andromeda, a leading player in the Greek fish-farming business and
  • Biofarma, a large generic pharmaceutical producer in Turkey

Global Finance, with offices in Athens, Bucharest and Sofia has been investing in South-Eastern Europe since 1991. It has made more than 65 investments and has more than €850 million under management.
